Breathe Carolina – “IDGAF” (Music Video)

If the acronym for electro-duo Breathe Carolina’s hot new single “I.D.G.A.F.” (I don’t Give A Fu*k) is any reflection on the crew’s newest video, well, expect them to throw caution to the wind. Here’s the new video for the newest single off the group’s soph LP “Hello Fascination.”

Artist Profile: King Cydal

The man pictured above goes by the name of  King Cydal. The 26 year old rapper hails from the SF Bay Area, California. After releasing his first album, Ya Block’s Host, in 2008 and his Concrete Collection Volume 1 mixtape last year, he released his latest project, Royal Solution, an 11 song album earlier this month for free download via his Myspace page and via Twitter.

The Bay Area is known in the rap world for its ability to create popular lingo and movements, the most recent of which was the Hyphy movement. It is a region looking to get back on the map in rap and King Cydal looks to be the one to bring it back. His music respectfully avoids the Hyphy sound but takes on a more mainstream and thought-provoking sound and feel.

If you’ve never heard of King Cydal until now, take a minute to check out his latest project Royal Solution available for free download here (parental advisory warning for some suggestive and graphic language) and add him as your friend on Myspace. To hear more from him on a daily basis, follow him on Twitter. You won’t be disapppointed. Look for him to be a force in the Bay Area and beyond in the coming years.

TMZ Bad Ass Prom Contest Winner

Shout out to these two guys, dubbed by TMZ the “Twinkie Twinsies,” who won TMZ’s Bad Ass Prom Picture Contest last week. Not to take anything away from their coolness, but of course we all know why they won – their Shutter Shades!

Tila Tequila Meets Shutter Shades

Last night, Tila Tequila performed her new single “I Love The DJ” last night at The Conga Room in Hollywood. Upon her arrival, a few of the guys behind Shutter Shades got to meet her.

Cupcake Cannon

The Johnny Cupcakes Suitcase Tour stop at Kamp Grizzly was epic. Johnny brought a great crowd, his limited edition tour gear and the inspiration for Kamp’s Cupcake Cannon. Portland’s Kamp Grizzly developed a steam-punk style pneumatic cupcake cannon and set the stage for eating frosty delights at 120psi. The blasting buffet was documented in at 700fps coming off the Phantom HD Gold. As the evening shook down, cupcake enthusiasts continued to step in front of the cannon and camera. Some shaking in their boots, others perched in zen-like states, ALL were covered in delicious frosting, spongy cake, and showered in a mist of sprinkles.

And don’t forget the Shutter Shades cameo!
