Shutter Shades – Where Amazing Happens

A few weekends ago, I went to local Venice Beach here in Los Angeles and wanted to see how playing basketball in shutter shades would be. I had my brother Shawn there to record some footage of me playing and shooting around with the video recorder on my Blackberry Bold. Check out how amazing happens when you wear Shutter Shades.

Lewis Hamilton Becomes the Youngest F1 Series Champ

Britain’s Lewis Hamilton has become the youngest-ever Formula One world champion by winning the 2008 title in a thrilling finish at Interlagos on Sunday. Hamilton wins the title at a record age of 23 years and 301 days. 

In the end, he needed to make a pass two corners from the finish line to claim the title by a solitary point 98 to 97. Watch the incredible final lap of the race below:

Kimbo Slice Stunned!

Kevin Ferguson (born on February 8, 1974), better known as Kimbo Slice, is a Miami, Florida-based street fighter turned mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He first appeared in several filmed underground fights which have spread primarily on the Internet. Kimbo has since left street fighting behind and is now putting his efforts towards becoming a professional mixed martial arts fighter. Rolling Stone called Slice “The King of the Web Brawlers.”

A Kimbo Slice vs. Ken Shamrock fight was scheduled for October 4, 2008 to take place at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida as part of CBS’ “Saturday Night Fights”. Seth Petruzelli replaced Shamrock due to a cut to Shamrock’s left eye during warm ups only hours before the fight was to take place.

Petruzelli defeated Slice by TKO 14 seconds into the bout.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show in Tampa, Fla., the NFL and NBC announced Sunday night. Click here for more info.

Right on Target

In late July, pro snowboarder Shaun White and his brother launched their own clothing line for Target. This is interesting because he’s already sponsored by clothing brands such as Volcom and Burton. The line is slated to be in Target stores for 90 days so we’ll see what happens. Check out the Target commercial below – in it you’ll notice a shirt of his grandma rocking some crazy demented version of Shutter Shades. Click here to check out the clothing line.

Tomorrow, the USC Trojans face off against the Ohio State Buckeyes in what will be one of the biggest college football games of the year. Since we’re based in L.A. and Todd attended USC, we’re rooting for USC! Sorry Buckeye fans…

Over 1 billion people watched this game yesterday

Yesterday the USA Men’s Olympic basketball team, this time around called “The Redeem Team,” played their first game of the Olympics against the host team China. The past few Olympic games have been a disappointment for the USA. Playing the host of the Olympics in the first game would be quite the challenge, since a few players on the China team are in the NBA and they played in front of a sellout crowd, which included both country’s leaders. It was close in the first half, but in the second half Kobe Bryant and team USA dominated. Over 1 billion people watched this game on tv today, unbelievable!
