Yesterday, Space Exploration Technologies Falcon 1 launched its fourth flight into space. This is the first privately developed launch vehicle to reach earth orbit from the ground. This is important because this was done by a private company, not by NASA or any other government agency. Could this lead to future commercial space travel?

Today Google launched the new Google G1 phone in New York City. The phone will be sold through T-Mobile and will go on sale on October 22nd. It is the first mobile phone to run the Google operating system Android.
